Role Description The General Manager (Construction Industry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading operations, client engagements, and teams across safety, consulting, and project management services. This role oversees end-to-end delivery of safety PMC assignments, audits, training programs, licensing and certification support, and CSR initiatives for construction projects. Daily responsibilities include managing client relationships, planning and monitoring project timelines, coordinating with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders, and ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met. The General Manager will lead cross-functional teams, set performance targets, drive productivity improvements, and implement quality standards across projects. The role also involves strategic planning, budget oversight, risk management, and continuous improvement of services and internal processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction industry leadership, overseeing safety, project management, and consulting services for medium to large-scale projects.
Strong skills in safety management, audits, and compliance, including experience with safety PMC, regulatory standards, and risk mitigation practices.
Ability to manage documentation, licensing, and certification processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to relevant authorities.
Experience designing and delivering training programs related to safety, productivity, and best practices for construction teams.
Proficiency in client liaisoning, stakeholder management, and relationship-building with contractors, developers, and regulatory bodies.
Demonstrated capability in productivity improvement, process optimization, and quality assurance within construction operations.
Familiarity with CSR initiatives in the construction sector and the ability to integrate CSR objectives into project and organizational strategies.
Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and manage performance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in safety or project management are an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Mumbai, with flexibility to visit multiple project locations.
